Welcome back! Before we get down to business, let me just remind you guys that baseball season is right around the corner and pitchers and catchers report in about five weeks! That means Faketeams.com is going to be oozing with fantasy goodness. The best way to be a part of the action is to be a part of Fake Teams and that way we can answer all your questions. As a fan, I'm excited to be checking out Fake Teams every day. I really hadn't heard about it until last year and I seriously can't believe all the content our staff puts out on a daily basis. I feel like I could draft for my baseball team today; I'm sure it's only going to get better and I'm happy to add that I'll be covering the injuries for fantasy baseball. So join!
Alright, well fantasy basketball is in full swing and there are so many spots in the rotation that are really cloudy. I get a ton of questions on Twitter and sometimes I have to be short (140 characters to be exact), so this thread is for those that need a longer answer or for those of you guys that use our comments board for some ideas.
No question is off limits. You can ask about trades, pickups, drops, rules, vetoes, commish advice, ranking a list of players or anything you can think of. Alright, Fire away!

Ask me where I'd rank Kobe. Do it.

trade analysis
I got LaMarcus, Rudy F and Derrick Williams for Noah, Teague and PGeorge. Reaction? Now I want to drop Rudy F for Marshon, Kemba, or B Knight, should it be in that order? W/o Teague, I need some more steals and Iman is slowing down. I could go big and get Speights, or BJ, although I am strong at my bigs.
I am also thinking of dropping Derrick Williams for Batum (picking it up again), Josh Howard, Jerebko or holding him; that order?
Looking forward to some input.

Pretty good deal. Yeah I would drop Rudy for any of those 3 in a split second. I would rank those 3 MarShon, Knight, Kemba, but they’re all very close and I’m high on all 3.
Those 3 guys are more valuable than Speights and BJ to me.
I would drop Williams for Knight too even though I love Batum. Camby will be back, which will hurt Batum quite a bit.

Trade Post-mortem
Keeper (Keep 11 of 14). I finished 2nd last year, but lost Horford to injury this year.
I started with: DJA, Norris Cole, Marcus Thornton, DeRozan, Mo Williams, Joe Johnson, & Monta Ellis for smalls. Dwight Howard, Amare, Horford, Dalembert, Speights, Biyombo, & Anthony Randolph for bigs.
I got: Derrick Rose, Ty Lawson, Josh Smith, Al Harrington, and Evan Turner.
I gave: Dwight Howard (I shed a tear every time I type that) & DeMar DeRozan.
(I dropped Randolph, Mo Will, and Speights.)
Two questions:
1. How’d I do on the trade? It’s H2H, so I hated parting with D-Ho, but still, I had to, right?
2. I want to move Turner now. Would Boozer or Felton types be enough? Or am I underestimating Turner completely?
THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!!!! AQAs ARE THE BEST. AND SO ARE YOU.

If I were commish of that league, I would have vetoed that trade!
You raped him!
netsfanrasmus - January 15, 2012
That is my least favorite 4-letter word.
That should not be vetoed
MikeGallagher - January 15, 2012 via mobile
agreed
no trade should be vetoed. And let’s stay away from the other 4 letter word netsfanrasmus used to describe the trade. Some may find it offensive, and there are other words that can be used instead. Thank you.

Thanks!
Yeah I like that trade A LOT. You got 3 top-25 studs right now and one of them is a top 5.
I would love to get Felton for Turner, but I don’t think the owner would do it. Same with Boozer, but I’m sure you can try it.

Howard
The owner getting Howard still owns Chris Paul, Westbrook, Cousins, B. Lopez, and other bits. I do fear I just set him up for a nice run. Still, I made him pay. A lot.
Here’s a lesson for all of us: he’d asked for big men so much and no one would bite. We feared giving him the big to complete his team. In the end, that reset his understanding of the proper price for a big. In the end, I chose to be the guy he overpaid.
I just hope I took enough from him in the process.
PS: If I keep Turner, is he a good fantasy player? A good dynasty commodity? The scouting reports are good, but he’s not that dynamic.
Johnny Tuttle - January 15, 2012
The scouting reports were good, but not so much anymore. His defene isn’t as good as it should be and he isn’t great in iso for offense. He’s very good everywhere else, but those are 2 of the most important skills in bball.
I don’t see him being a top-75 guy for the next couple years. Iggy has a player option (for 15million) in 13-14, so he would probably have to be traded (Iggy that is).

Tyreke Evans
Even though last night was a bad game, Tyreke’s been one of my best players lately. Should i be looking to sell him or hold? Could you name a few PGs you’d rather have this year? I’m in a 14 teamer that includes A/TO ratio as a category.
Also, i’m curious where you rank Kobe.
Thanks
Chipperhead Bobblejones - January 15, 2012
Oh crap. I answered it on my phone and it didn’t post…
I like Tyreke a lot. Only PGs I’d take over him would be (no order):
Rose, Westy, CP3, Deron, Lowry, Lawson, Jrue, and Ellis.. I’d take him over Wall and Rondo.
I have KObe at 8 on my bboard

Trade Help
Alright to compensate for the next week in injuries from Bargnanni and Wade, I want to trade for some guys.
What do you think of Millsap for Nowitski?
And… Noah & Mullens for Rudy Gay
Im sure they probably wont bite but with the Nowitski trade the best chance.
Im in a 10 team league with 10cat (no TO but Team Wins)
SuDOO - January 15, 2012
I’ll take the Dirk side by a lot; I’d also take the Gay side by a lot, too. I’d be surprised if the other party accepts that, but it’s worth a shot
MikeGallagher - January 15, 2012
what about…
Mullens&Iggy for Rudy Gay?
SuDOO - January 15, 2012
I offered Dirk and Bosh for Lebron, but his owner said I can have Kobe.
Take it while I can or push for LeBron?

Reggie Williams has been on my watch list since season opens.
He tweetted about his rehab 2 days ago as “its slow progress but its getting better. Few more weeks”
Its about time to add him? I extremely need 3s.
Is he worth keeping on my roster from now on?
My league is slightly deep league.
OnPhire - January 16, 2012
Ha, I would imagine your league is extremely deep talking about Williams. I don’t think he’ll be able to carve out a decent role with Kemba playing so much better.
It obviously depends on your other options to pick up
