The American League list is loaded with talent on the front end before completely falling off the table at around 35 or 40, depending on your taste. The outlook for the Senior Circuit is much more rosy, as you might expect. Given the dearth of quality position players on this side of the majors, I would feel very comfortable about waiting to fill out my rotation in the name of building a quality lineup in an NL-Only league. That said, there are some risky upside plays at the end of this list, and it goes without saying that if you find yourself calling some of those names, you'd better have some insurance already in place. A few notes about player placement:

Danny Duffy
Where do you see his value at? I personally think he has a better shot than Aaron Crow to produce.
gorillakilla34 - January 23, 2012
I agree,
but does he have a better shot of making the rotation? Crow is being converted from reliever, and I think the Royals will feel an obligation to stick with him when he struggles. If I’m wrong and Duffy breaks camp with the team, I’d probably rank him somewhere around Jacob Turner.
Robert L. Bishop - January 23, 2012
Moscoso
Since the trade to COL, would you rank him around the same area in the NL-only ranks? Or is that the complete disaster for his value that it seems like it should be?
Jason Hunt - January 23, 2012
I somehow missed that trade.
Yeah, I would say his value was tied to that ballpark. The NL pool is a lot deeper than the AL pool, so if Moscoso made the list, it would be closer to the bottom.
Sorry for completely missing that development.
